We're on the home stretch here, and a game jam wouldn't be complete without me having scheduling issues where it matters most. Tomorrow I won't be able to work on my game at all, and Wednesday has some events going on too. I've still got a number of features I want to implement before I ship, but it's looking like that's just not going to happen.
However, here's the good news: A new build! A pretty great build if I say so myself, because now this thing looks like a real game. Like, a really real game. That is, of course, because real games have main menus. This new build also fixes a few bugs that you guys were having issues with, like being able to delete the queue command, as well as some other weird kinks. However, with all new builds come new issues - some that I already know about. For example, you can't go back to the main menu from a level without beating it. Also, some things are slightly darker than they should be. Related note, there's a brightness slider in the options menu that does diddly squat. That's not all - levels don't unlock in any sort of logical manner, there aren't enough levels (33 so far, and a fair number of them are tutorial-ish), and some other weird bugs. Most importantly, for a game this complex, there is no actual tutorial.Other than those few fairly ~insignificant~ issues, I'm actually really happy with this game. Gonna be working on this after the competition for sure.
HOLY SHIT RELEASE THIS ON MOBILE AND TABLETS NOW YOU WILL MAKE FUCKING BARRELS OF MONEY FUCK
Seriously, I've been playing this game for the past few minutes purely for fun. Not to give you input. Not to critique any visuals or gameplay mechanics. Not to give you a comment stating that I've played this game.
I've been playing it because it's fun.Good job, man. Try to get some cash to get the name trademarked and junk, find a publisher or kickstart for "development funds" that will go pretty much just to stuff you want and marketing, and then put it on the various app stores. You will make unnecessary amounts of mulah. This definitely needs a tutorial, or at least a simple video or image explaining some of the mechanics, for the exact reasons Steven stated. I was just saying that this game needs to be sold.
Things you can say you're using funds from Indiegogo/Kickstarter for:- Legal junk- Level creation- Soundtrack- Tutorial design- Polish- Device portsIf its possible to disable the left click pop-up menu when deleting stuff that would be nice. But I really like the game.
I never understood what the square arrow buttons were, but I didn't experiment with them. All I need to know is what theyre called and i'd be able to figure it out.Great work.Reset button should be a stretch goal, obviously.
