Pointlessness and Ranting

Many a times I've seen people asking how do you do this, and how do you do that, and you give them an answer, and they cuss you out because they don't understand your clearly, concisely commented code. (love alliterations)

What is it about lesser programmers that makes them think that we, by law or higher order, MUST ANSWER EVERY QUESTION that they care to throw out? I do my best, I try to make it easy.

Just earlier, I got a message by someone who was posting in reply to a topic that wasn't even their, where I had given an answer about semi-realistic clouds using sprite_set_alpha_from_sprite. It generally consisted of all caps, and words that would give old people a heart attack.

What is it that makes certain people think that everybody owes them something?

And I just got a reply saying, "Sorry if I sounded brutal", and he's acting as if I'm his best friend! Jeez!

I know. Why do they think they have to right to demand whatever they want? n00bie programmers in particular are the worst.

You lucky devil. I have people asking me stuff all the time. Most of them are reasonably polite, but I get some really nasty messages. Especially with my Pendulum/swing script on the GM forums.

Im trying to make a TDS/RPG style game and i need a bit of help with getting the camra/veiw to follow behind the oject like a 3rd person camra so if i rotate left the camra goes right and stays behind the object, also just thinking ahead im not sure but if i roated the object 90* would i then need to change the move forowrd to move right so that the object dosnt move UP the screen? or would u instead of moveing the object move everything else 'around' the object based on its ralative position in the room!?

thank you for any help you can spear :o)

Try making an MMORPG example, then posting advice in MMORPG-related topics..

I get at least 10 PMs every day (and no, I am not exagerrating. The last time i didn't get at least 10 in a day was about a month ago, and it was so strange that I noted it) asking for advice. Most of the PMs are not even in straight English.

So stop complaining.
