All of a sudden my monitor went POP! really loud, and now there is a double image of everything, especially bad at the bottom! I can barely type, it is so blurry. I thing something broke, and now the CRT is misaligned. Every 30 seconds, I hit the degauss button, and it does that twist thing as if it hadn't been degaussed for months.Its so horrible. Anyone have any clues as to what to do? Aside from buying a new monitor? I may open it up to see if anything looks wrong.
there is nothing you can do other then buy a new monitor.

You might look stupid, but a lot of stuff (especially laptops) just burns out, and smelling it is the easiest way to tell.If something's burning, then you have very little chance of being able to fix your monitor.
