A game related blog with no creative writing

I was playing ORCSLAYER2000, a game I made semi-recently and was thinking that I ought to finish it. It didn't get much attention but I think it's one of the most enjoyable and polished titles I've ever made. If you would, please check it out and let me know what you think. I've already added a few new things to it (including a new character) but I'm very open to ideas.

Anyway, I've been working on the alien game. We'll call it SUPER AREA 51 for now. (Yes, I'm keeping the 'SUPER' in the title for spite.)

I had a cool idea.

Each room has a different and random color scheme.

There will (or might not be, it's random) an alien artifact that corresponds to the room color for you to collect.

You have a bar that will fill up a tick each time you collect an artifact.

The bar has three slots to fill.

And, when you fill up the bar completely, the colors are combined and… something happens. I haven't decided on just what quite yet, however.

I had a few ideas–either you could unleash a one-time ability that was related to the color your combined artifacts created. Or, you would get a 'token' or something similar, that was the color of the combined colors. You could spend these specifically colored tokens on aesthetic items for your alien. Just a few random ideas.

I like this idea because it'll promote exploration within the randomly generated levels instead of just a race to the door.
