Hurry Up And Viote Already Guys (Sixty Fools Digits)
Posted on April 02, 2012 at 05:26

Alright. April Fools has passed and the contest has come to a close.

Here are the entries:

Psychedelic Ostrich Jihad - MMORPGguy

Controls:
Let's see if I can remember the controls... Umm, so, you left click on your units to select them or drag the mouse to make a square thing to select groups of units. Right click to tell them to move somewhere or attack something, and hold A while right clicking for your units to act all aggressive on their way over. Press space to end your turn. Build more units at the top right of the screen, each at a cost of good vibes. You get good vibes every turn depending on the territory you control. Yeah. Oh, and zoom in and out with the mouse wheel and move around the map with the arrow keys or the mouse. I think that's about it.

Low G Manlove Agent - Acid

Description: This is my compo entry. I made it in the last 3 hours.
It's a highly symbolic, minimalist artgame. DEAL WITH IT.

(fixed version)

Nuclear Sewers in the Salad Kingdom - Zac1790

The main story is supposed to involve a nuke that hits the salad kingdom and super-irradiates the sewer. Actually, you're just shooting moldy, talking vegetables with your anti-oxidants.

Use the WASD keys for movement and the mouse to shoot. Unfinished.

Toxic Raccoon Posse - Zhiko

Horrifying Yeti Dreamland - kilin

Controls:
Z - progress dialogue
A/D - move left/right
Mouse - aim
L Click - interact, use weapon
Space - jump

Disclaimer:
I couldn't really get into the game so I lost motivation several times. It's pretty much a little stage and a boss. There were originally ten items and ten buffs, but right now only three items and three buffs made it into the game.

Stylish Cricket Smashdown - sirXemic

Description:
Kill the cricket. The instructions are in-game, but I'll give you one hint - be freaking quick!

How far along are you guys? Are you still working on your games?

All lists have been mailed out.

If you haven't gotten yours yet please PM me or post a comment.

Now hurry up and start making your games!

Show

Alright. Contest time!

If you guys remembered this blog I was planning on hosting a competition based on this name generator.

Now, this competition will start this Friday morning (the 9th...at whenever-I-get-up-o-clock GMT-8) and will last 23 days and end on 11:59PM (GMT-8) April 1st (April Fool's Day). All artwork and all code (within reason) must be original for this competition and must have only been started on or after March 9th

Originally I had planned on letting contestants generate their own names, but people seemed to want to have the host generate them instead, so I'll be PMing all the contestants 5 names unique to them (to prevent them from just going through 100s of names until they get non-ridiculous idea) and the contestant will choose the one they wish to make. However, if you absolutely despise the 5 you're given, I can send you a new list of 10 names once consisting of the names not chosen by other people. By doing this your forfeit the old names into the pool of unused names.

I have the following prizes that I am contributing to the competition that I bought for this comp:

Quote

From me:
-Portal 2 (Steam)
-Terraria (Steam)
-Magicka x 2 (Steam)

From FSX:
-Choice of Payday: The Heist, King Arthur: The Role Playing Game 1, or $20 or less game. (steam)

From Unaligned:
-Nation Red (steam)

They will be distributed to the top 3 entries that will be chosen by the community, and I'll also be giving one gift to whichever game that I think is the craziest/most ridiculous/etc that didn't win a prize.

Quote: Confirmed entrants

Would anyone be interested in having a 24/48/72 hour competition involving games with titles created by this?

I mean, who wouldn't want to play Telekinetic Platypus Epidemic, The Deranged Llama Fiasco or Psychedelic Manlove Detective?

And also since it would be a short one with a title already given it wouldn't be quite as daunting to start as a 3 week long super serious Halloween/Winter competition.

So what does 64digits think about this?

No Games After Five Years!
Posted on October 19, 2011 at 00:39

So 2 days ago, as of writing this blog, marked my having been on this site for five years.

...and I still haven't released a single goddamned game yet. I'm not sure whether or not I should blame 64digit's mind-altering code for it or not. But..... I do plan to change this, as I have entered into the Scary Four Digits. I may have started development 4 days late, but I've been pretty busy trying to get my entry together.

As for the entry, it's a side-view action/horror game. I'm trying to be more heavy on the horror than action, but it's kind of hard to make a horror game with a side-view 2D perspective. I feel like I might fail pretty hard in the sound/music part, which unfortunately is pretty important for atmosphere, since I've never actually gotten around to using ANY audio in any other previous project since I'm not fond of using other people's resources and have never been musically inclined.

Note: The enemies will have heads, they're just not drawn yet.
Also, enemies are invisible (they're the background colour) when not in "light".

I've also noticed that it's been nearly a year since I last blogged....

I think this should be enough. Hopefully this is some encouragement after all the dropping out of competition blogs.

I am so fat.
Posted on January 15, 2011 at 18:48

What did everyone else eat for breakfast today?

I had this:

(half-dozen eggs, bunch of cheese, 0.5lbs of ham, 1L skim milk(not shown))

~1,500 calories. :D

~140g protein (560cal)
~80g fat (720cal) (lowish-fat cheese, skim milk)
~50g carbs (200cal) (mostly from milk)
~Too much sodium I'm scared to even begin to calculate it. (I'm guessing more than 300% of what you should eat a day.)

I wore woman's clothes in public.
