BASKET has launched.

Basic Skeletal Framework (BASKET) is the thing I've been working on for the past week. You can get it here.

All of the important information is included on the page.

The download comes with:

.gmx source file for GameMaker: Studio

Executable of the compiled framework to exemplify the features

PDF of important information and all of the source code

I'll update this with a new video later. And the website is a little bland, but I'll update it at a later date when I'm less busy.

I updated the website and the video is up. I'll edit the blog with it too.

I'd really appreciate if I got some more feedback. I updated the site a second time with the new video. Thanks.

I'm sure lots of other people do as well, but I have a feeling the competition is drawing people more to their own projects than others. That said, you have been making an active effort to comment on other peoples projects so think its pretty fair that you ask for the same back lol :D.

The site itself looks pretty nice and covers most of the basic information. What would be nice is a proper feature list, that lists all the things that it does. Another thing that could be extended is the video. While at times I think it looks good, a more controlled example would be great. Having the rig kind of dance while being stretched and doing impossible movements probably isn't the best way to show this off. What would be cool is to display it with some proper graphics(This will definitely help sell it even though it may have nothing to do with the system itself), and to do a more perfect dance, that shows it off without doing impossible things(Will make it seem for professional(I think)). Another thing you don't mention anywhere is the ability to add any limbs together as you please. I think this would be a great selling point as lots of gm rig systems limit you in the structure of it.

The system itself looks pretty good though, and the fact that it can handle impossible moves allows it a lot more creative freedom in the types of characters made with it. I would download it, but I don't have a copy of GM Studio. It would be great if it came packaged with a gm6 as well, so pretty much anyone can use it.

Edit: Just had another thought. At the moment there isn't really an incentive to pay for it, I think it would be good if when you've payed for it you get a higher priority in bug fixing.

I think I will make an updated video showing of HOW it works and what features it has, rather than just being silly.

It comes packed with a PDF file with all of the code, so you CAN use it with virtually any programming language.

And I'm not too worried about getting paid for this. I mostly just made it open to help others. I do greatly appreciate donations though. :P

I took a look at it, and it works really well. Not the kind of thing I'd normally use, but very solid.

A feature that would prove to be useful would be allowing a constraint system. :P

There actually is a contraint system, but I only implemented it for the neck because it would mess up the animations for non humans and add annother variable track. I may include this if I decide to update it, but I don't want to make it too specific - my tools and open-source projects should be seen with an open mind.

I hate when something has the potential to do a ton of stuff and everyone who uses it has tunnel vision for one method of implementation.
