A few weeks ago I bought a new Sunpac Line Interactive 650VA UPS and connected the old PowerTree to the house backup lights system. I was curious yesterday to remove the old PowerTree UPS so I did. In the PowerTree UPS Manual it says the UPS has surge and overload protection but when I remove the UPS I saw a totally different thing!
1. The UPS curcuit board did not have a single noise filter! Even though the manual said it did.2. No Automatic Voltage Regulation! I found the UPS did not have a single condensor to make a AVR.3. No serial port! the serial port interface did exist but there were no wires connected to it!4. There was no serial port processor to send data! Even though the manual said it did have a working serial port.5. Not a single Metal Oxide Varistor was on the power input connection! insted the power input was sent to tranceformer which is not a surge protector.6. Curcuit not grounded! the main curcuit board was not grounded in anyway! So if a surge came it would directly hit the PC.This UPS kind of has the basic invertor curcuit that converts 12V to 230V with the real Sinewave system. It also had Dual Relay's installed.Well the next time I'm going to buy a UPS I'm going to make the Dealer remove the UPS and see if the things that the manual claim are true.
…wut?
…AND THEN COLONEL MUSTARD KILLED THE COUNT WITH A LAMPSHADE!
Mmmmmkay
No he didn't - SEE?! I HAVE THE LAMPSHADE CARD!
JakeX, that's totally a Fake Card. I mean, it's sketched roughly with a pencil and is on notebook paper. >_>
NO, IT WAS REAL! KENON JUST CANT SEE BECAUSE MR. GREEN STABBED HIM WITH A KNIFE IN THE LIBRARY!
I always thought UPS was a delivery company, does that mean my packages are not actually delivered by a car but a piece of electronics!
oh god.. a UPS is called Uninteruptable Power Supply
