-E- Softbody perfection

Oh no, I haven't blogged for awhile, what ever is the matter with that? Well firstly

.:Corruption:.

My entire Compact Flash had recently corrupted, it was working perfectly and then just suddenly it stopped showing anything, wouldn't reformat properly and just craps up space now…

So, I sent Steve some .exe files of my projects and hopefully I'll remake them again…

Basicly, what I lost was

Stealthed

Sub-Zero

TBS-Standards(upgrade of the Core)

Dark Heart

Fireballz

My php game

And a lot of homework I was doing over the weekend, such eh?

but most of those can be recovered… however one thing I did have to remake a lot of again, and it is!

.:Softbody Physics:.

Whereas the last version was partially unstable at times, the new one I've made is 100% working, it even has jumping that requires you be compressed to get higher.

I'm creating a project using this, called Blue Water, now because of my recently acquired fear of losing my project sources, Blue Water is going to be open-source, so everyone can join in the fun!

Blue Water Source

.:Level Editor:.

So 2dl level editor got into the GMC hall of fame? I think I can do so, so much better then Mr.Gibblet, especially considering I invented my own platform physics code..

So I present to thee, the Level Editor, the best level editor soon.(and maybe I'll put it into Blue Water)

Level Editor

It's not 100% finished, but it's not very buggy

unzip it all before you play… it loads external skins.

Controls

Mouse to place stuff, click on things

Z to hide/show the GUI

X to test play the level

And for now… don't put that Goal point object on the borders of the level…

.:PHP Game:.

I've gotten addicted to php games, things like ogame, spacefed, all that stuffm, so why don't I make my own? could be fun/slightly profitable

Anyway, the game is long from completion, but it has alot of the layout/features of a normal web-based game right now, so go play why don't you?

Lamaia

Well, thats a big enough wall of text for today…

Blue Water plays just like a less stylish Gish.

Oh come on, it's just a test of the physics more then anything else.

I like it, JakeX has a point.

Holy Crap… it might just be me, but does anyone else find this to be a GM breakthrough?

Bryan 17 years, 2 months ago

@Foslock

Not really.

Seen it before but this is the best implementation.
