477425M (Shyabeetus)

Here is a song I wrote in 1xLSDJ, on my Gameboy.

It's about the eternal struggle to gain something that remains just out of one's reach (a dream, love, or whatever that may be), but never giving up no matter what the obstacles.

It's based off of the original Donkey Kong, because Jumpman never gets the girl, and the game just starts over harder every 100m he climbs.

It's just about complete, but some feedback would be nice before I upload the finished version to Soundcloud and my website. Enjoy!

I never expected CDi sound bites to ever actually work in much of anything. Good shit dude.

Whoa, this is pretty sweet! I love that the beat you chose remains consistent through the piece, and of course I love all the fun sounds you picked. It's also surprisingly entertaining, for being 4 minutes long. Very nice!

The possibility never came to your mind?

What planet are you living on?

477425M sounds good. Gourmet Hate was nice too, though not enough deviation from the original it seems.

Thanks! I felt the "SPAGHETTI" clip was necessary when I originally wrote this, due to me being shy and all (pocket spaghetti), but decided to keep it in. Actually, I also added a Zelda CD-i clip at one point, but decided to take that out in favor of the death jingle from Donkey Kong.

5:28 actually haha. Thanks, I'm glad to hear it didn't get boring at all!

Yeah, I tried to stray from copying songs verbatim this time. I also wanted this song to be varied, unlike the original version of this song, which you've probably heard on Soundcloud already.

It's okay Grandpa, we'll get you that prune whip

I wasn't expecting the YouTube Poop bits <3 Even without them this rulez

JJokerDude 11 years, 4 months ago

Haha I tried not to make it a Poop. Besides it's just the one CD-i sample. The other clip at the beginning is a Prinny's "Here we go, dood!" from Disgaea, and the ones at the end are Shyguy sounds.

Edit: Also, is prune whip actually a thing?
