I've decided to keep the basic idea behind my RPG secret until sometime next month, but I can reveal that the game will be called Total Cheese and will of course involve lots and lots of cheese. In fact it might have more varieties of cheese than any other game in existence. Unless theres a hardcore Cheese Tycoon game or something and even then I'll probably have more types >:)

This will require a lot of research lol, but according to wikipedia theres anywhere between 400 and 1000+ official types of cheese so I should have no trouble finding a decent amount that isn't just different types of the same cheese.

I've already decided on a lot of the gameplay mechanics while halfway asleep yesterday and I can't really think of any game that has this exact style of battle mechanics. But while my battle system might be somewhat original, the rest of the game is going to be a parody of an established RPG series.

As for my battle engine, last month I came up with a new idea for how to handle the turn based battles in OpenPokemon V2 but I never got around to starting it. The battle engine idea would by design be highly flexible so I should be able to design the basic turn based system and then build the OpenPokemon and Total Cheese engines off of that, killing 2 birds with one stone =]

Outside of the RPG, I'm going to be releasing v1.2.5_2 of CheeseMod sometime soonish unless they decide to make mc 1.2.6.
