Disease and stuff.

Basically since very early Thursday morning I've had this stomach virus, so I haven't been able to eat for 2 days now. Fortunately it makes it so I'm not hungry, but the other symptoms are annoying. I'm basically living off of Kool-aid now, but I think I should be able to eat in an hour or so.

Anyway, I was a junior and I'm about to be a senior. So many of my friends were seniors so now they've graduated and I don't see them much, so that kind of sucks. These past couple of months I've tried to stray away from video games and focus more on having a social life, and it's weird because ever since video games seem pretty boring to me with few exceptions. So, days like these where I can't hang out with friends kind of suck.

The way I've thought has also changed these past couple months. I used to be really pessimistic and nothing much made me happy, but now I'm pretty optimistic (at least most of the time). Like now, I'm sick and bored and tired but all I really think about is how awesome having a diet of Kool-aid is and how I'm probably going to go to Cici's and eat until I explode once I'm better.

Back in June I went to Washington, D.C. It was cool, but not worth the lengthy trip or time spent. The only thing to do at the hotel was play Conduit, and that wasn't that great because I really hate Wii FPS's. D.C. has really cool squirrels though, they're practically tame, I got about 4 inches away from one. Then, a couple weeks ago, I went on a mission trip (local) and that was a ton of fun, I met a lot of new people.

Band camp started last week, the first week we had three-a-days, which is basically outside marching at 8-11:30, inside playing music 1-4:30, and back outside 7-9. Here in Texas, it's pretty much above 100 degrees every day so being outside isn't very pleasant, but after so much you actually get used to it. Also, ever since I became section leader, I get yelled at for pretty much everything I do. If I'm talking during practice and so are a couple people around me, I get yelled at, but they won't normally. It's very annoying.

I'm pretty much bored of Minecraft now, especially since we can't keep a consistent style of server (creative, survival, whatever). Really, the only game I ever play is Team Fortress 2, so you should add me on Steam, I'm Kamira929.

Sorry that this blog is kind of oddly fragmented, I have troubles concentrating because of being sick, and so some of the wording might be kind of weird.

Wow, funny because the squirrels were also what I remembered most about DC.

I too am becoming bored of most videogames, and usually only ever play Minecraft or COD. I think the reason why I like these is because they aren't cheap fun. Minecraft gives me more freedom of creativity than any other game. COD is just fun because It's the only game I can play with my brother, and because we always troll the whiney players. In fact, I have the most fun playing my own games, even if they're as simple as jumping on platforms.

Also, I'ma add both you and JID. I'm Eggnogg.

Whiney players is one of the reasons I don't enjoy online games as much as I used to. Also I just dislike CoD in generally but I'd rather not talk about that at all.

Honestly, Gears of War is the only game where it feels like you're free to talk without someone saying stupid shit to you.

The Gears of war community is probably the strongest and most friendliest community on xbox live so far. They are also so of the most competitive on xbl too. Some people are extremely competitive on there, but they are only competitive if you've done something wrong to them, like tbag, or play dirty to win.

Also, I don't really encounter any whiney players on xbl, unless I'm playing cod or Halo. It's always some 10 year old screaming at the top of their lungs on those two games especially.

I've met those kind of people on Gears, it's just people are rarely in game chat (and I never am because of those people). But yeah, community-wise, Halo and CoD have some of the worst, though Halo has an awesome community in the sense of all the theater mode and forge creations.

i have a lot of problems when i don't eat for long periods of time, so i can sympathize. stomach problems are the worst.

I actually don't think I'm having any side effects from the lack of food, which is amazing.

I don't actually like COD:Black Ops that much. The game's balance is pretty bad, but its balance is better than Modern Warfare 2. I like some of the clever little things/quirks in Black Ops, such as the flexibility of the equipment and grenade types (those weapons alone make combat quite diverse). So I basically play like a complete noob, because that's the most fun. I'll usually just be running around trying to find oblivious campers I can mess with, or objects to torch with the flamethrower.

Despite the way I play, the game has a way of sucking me in and making me want to play serious. I guess it has that addictive element like World of Warcraft does, but lacks in entertainment substance.

I hate the COD and Halo communities because of how serious everyone seems to play… whenever I play either of the two games it feels like a free-for-all, and communication is non-existent. It feels like I'm playing with bots, and the point of multiplayer is lost.

If you want games where people communicate more, try Battlefield, Gears of War or Left 4 Dead 2 on Realism mode. Communication is necessary in all of those games. Battlefield actually does communication the best because even if you don't have a mic, there are always opportunities to communicate with teammates, by spotting tanks, requesting ammo or medical attention or even saying you need a ride.

Gears of war 3 is also adding more communication opportunities by allowing players to spot enemies also.

honestly, all I like is games that require teamwork, because it allows for more communication, I see no point in playing a game online with other people if no one wants to talk or the community is so bad to the point where I don't want to talk to people at all. that just defeats the purpose of playing the game online whatsoever.

I'm only eating every Other day in order to save money. (Willpower or stupidity, I dunno.)

Try talking to one of those guys in real life. (Rage inducing they are.)
