Mitsubishi A6M "Zero"

The Mitsubishi A6M "Zero", The Codename for the zero was actually "zeke" to keep in the pattern of naming japanese fighters after boy's names. The Zero lacked self sealing fuel tanks, meaning the tank would usually go KABLOOEY!

During the early part of the war the zero was superior to american fighters, but the could still be beaten using tactics such as the Thach weave to keep the pilot and their wingman constantly covered. It was something like this.

By Turning together they could cover the other if an enemy tried to get on their six.

and next up i'm looking at the plane that was used by the us in the first half of WWI in the pacific.
