Halloween Pumpkin

Here's a pumpkin I carved today for Halloween.

Simple, yet effective. I think this is pretty scary, in my opinion.

Not much for this blog entry, but I'd figure I'd get a picture of it online before the day is out.

Being Well Read in Fictional Literature

Posted by RabbidMickeyMouse on Oct. 27, 2007, 11:05 a.m.

I’ve met a number of intelligent people of my own age, and I notice a lot of them are well read in literature. It can be intimidating for me occasionally, especially when I don’t read fictional literature very often at all.

This is not to say I don’t read. What …

A Sunrise Meditation

There are days occasionally, such as today, that I woke up, and looked out my window to see the sun glow, sitting below the horizon. The sky is a mix of of blue's and violets, the windows have a film of condensation, softening the light further, and you decide to …

Newfound Interest with Animation

When I was a 56ker, Youtube was a luxury (as were most things). Now that I have a broadband internet connection, I've come to see a lot on Youtube as of late.

It can easily become addicting if you don't moderate yourself, or decide to go on open-ended searches, jumping …

Death In The Family

I haven't been around on either the GMG or GMC recently as I've been spending time with my family after my sister's death this past Thursday. I won't be active until roughly next week.

She died as a result of an overdose of ibprophen (Advil). Because of her existing liver …

Killing Insects, Vegetarianism etc.

I remember as a child my older brother Jeremiah sweeping downstairs, and saw a large ant on the floor, crawling along unassumingly. He had already grown tired of sweeping, and upon seeing the ant, rather than simply sweep it away, he raised the broom and jabbed the broom towards the …

Coffee

The other week, I was at a Dunkin’ Doughnuts with a couple friends of mine, whereas we’ve stopped there for a cup of coffee before continuing on wherever we were headed.

I came up to the register and asked for a “medium cup of regularâ€?. A bit puzzled, the cashier …

I had only been away from the forums a couple minutes to check on the news when I found that I had received an email notifying me about a new PM at GMG.

Edenb sent me the PM, congratulating me on my new Moderator position at GMG. I soon checked …

Fear of Death

Posted by RabbidMickeyMouse on March 31, 2007, 12:56 a.m.

I’ve developed quite the fear of death. The thought of having no other alternative in the end other than blinking out of existence brings up the worry that existence is entirely pointless, whereas we can only hope our actions and ideas carry on greater momentum than we created.

And yet, …

Philosophical Thoughts

I’ve argued with others that as humans, we’re served more with our intellect than our emotions. Many argue that regardless of what science and technology has brought us, we’ve somewhat synchronized our emotional and intellectual understanding of the world so that we can continue through most days without a problem, …
