Last night I went ahead and did stuff.

In particular, I'm rather proud that I managed to get WASD implemented. I was almost thinking it would have to wait and be released as a $20 DLC expansion later on, but luckily I was able to squeeze it in. Unfortunately, to keep the framerate locked at 30 FPS something had to give… so I cut the arrow key controls and the always-online DRM.

I also did some other stuff… mad level designz, a highly pared back version of the battle system I originally envisioned, and I worked out how my story will kinda sorta unfold.

So basically, I'll definitely have something for G4D… with extra emphasis on "something". The story was going to be the sole factor that tied into the competition's themes, but that's gonna be a bit shaky at best.

But you know what they say… sometimes less is more. In this case, I'm hoping it holds true for effort.
