I am thinking of making a new side scrolling game, one without gimmicks, which in this day and age is a revelation, to pay homage to the genre that started it all, however i am sucky at art, so any talented artist enlist, and you to can be a social outcast.

Go make your own art; it will be sucky for the first few years, but that's how you start to get better: By being arsed enough to try making your own art. Make bloody cube-men if you have to; that's what I did, starting out. Talented artists need to be fed and watered; they don't work for free, even on 'small' projects.EDIT: Oh, and welcome to 64Digits!As I have said multiple times in the past, its better to have placeholder graphics for a game than to request the graphics before showing gameplay. Graphics artists don't usually like to create stuff for a specific project unless they see some potential… in my experience anyway!
Ok, i see your points and ill take them into account, but you seem to miss understood what I was trying to convey, I just thought it would be nice to design a game with a few blokes, for fun, i can't stress that last part enough, this "game" could of had so many glitches and shitty art in the world, and no one would of cared, it just was meant to be a fun way of meeting new people on this community. sorry for wasting your time, i thought this place was meant to be a place of causal jokes, gags and good times. my sincerest apologies.
