With a full version of GLBasic, I can start having some real fun. So to speak.
So I managed to pull myself away from game related distractions to produce a new test of my 16 cubed cubic dungeon crawler concept.
Unfortunatly my polygon face exclusion method is far from perfect, despite being simple.

A solid cube using the exclusion to eliminate inside, adjacent cubes from being drawn. You can see there is some holes in what is supposed to be a solid cube.

Here is a randomly filled cube made without excluding touching faces, its huge, 1.4mb file, ten-thousands of vertices.

And heres what happens when I attempt to have the exclusions, its just not right. So hopefully I'll be able to (A) fix it, or (B) get some aid from the glbasic forums.
In other news, I decided to use midi instead of mp3 for the RPG I'm working on due to size concerns. Its hard to find -original- game music made with midis, I could only find two sources. And only one had a decent amount to use. One of these days I need to capture myself a midi composer.
Hmmm… maybe put some portals in random areas that are unconnected?
Portals?
Its just a 3 dimensional array that gets read through and neighboring spaces are checked if they are empty. Its pretty simple, and thats why I'm at a loss on whats wrong.EARTH HAS 4 CORNER
