Revolutions

Did the title draw you in? If it did, then I'm afraid I only put it there cause it's a cooler word for "spinning". Woke up this morning and the whole world was spinning (or revolving if you wanna keep with the title). Very odd. For a little while I thought I was gonna lose that pizza I ate last night. This was about a half an hour ago and I'm feeling much better now.

:Life:

This should probably be titled "Money" instead. See I just discovered that I'll be making some decent cash this Summer. Kind of cool considering most of the time I'm totally broke. I figure I'll be making something over $1,000? Yeah, I know, not a LOT of money, but the most I've ever had at one time was a little over $600 which I blew on the machine I'm typing on now. My dad decided he's gonna start paying $10 an hour for cutting grass (instead of the $5 I used to get). Granted, my grass cutting job is a bit more difficult than your average considering I do very little mowing and mostly weedeating on hillsides. Still, I'll make $60-$80 bucks a month. Then there's my grandparents' paying me for the same thing. They're a bit more generous with the cash :D

Anyway, me working plus my birthday coming up should have me set for a while.

Speaking of which….

:Birthday:

My birthday's coming up. It's pretty cool. I'll be 17 and have one more year of high school. Not gonna lie, that thought is just a tad frightening, but I'll get over it. Anyway, my mom told me yesterday that they were planning on getting me this for my birthday.

Awesome.

I found this guitar sometime last week. I've liked the style for a very long time, but the model was about $1,000. With my current budget, I'm not willing to fork that much up for a guitar. Last week though, I found a MUCH cheaper Squier version of the guitar. Not sure exactly how my mom found out I wanted it (brother probably told her.), but that's a pretty sweet present.

:Other stuff:

I've not done much on the comp lately. Been busy working and playing guitar. I've got a family reunion coming up this month that I might end up "performing" at. When I say "performing" I mean playing whatever I feel like to a bunch of family that didn't even know I played guitar. Either way, it'll be fun if I get to do it (it'll also give me something more to do while I'm there). Can't think of much more there is to say. And of course, looking to get a girlfriend.

tl;dr

1. Gonna be making decent money this Summer.

2. 17th Birthday is coming up.

4. Hopefully getting this for that birthday.

5. Telecaster Customs are awesome.

6. Random stuff (it's short enough, you can just read it).

"Revolution" meaing "a dramatic change in paradigm" actually comes from Copernicus' Torinensis de revolutionibus orbium coelestium - On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres. Copernicus was persecuted for his heliocentric views but a change in methodology resulted from his work, causing a "revolution."

Good luck with that.

Why do you want a telecaster? Nothing wrong with them, just asking because few people I know own one.

@Juju,

Yes, but the word "revolutions" as applied here falls under the definition "a turning around or rotating, as if on an axis."

@Xemic,

Much obliged :p

@ESA,

I got to play a friend's telecaster once. I liked to the feel of the guitar. That particular one I want purely because I think it looks badass.

I don't think I'll ever understand the obsession with telecasters.

Haha, for me it's just a departure from my actual obsession with Les Pauls. I don't think there's a guitar in existence that looks sweeter than a black Les Paul standard.
