Halo The Betrayers Progress...

Hey, 64Digits! Ha ha, I haven't blogged in a while. Apparently I'm not at all well known, 'cause I don't comment nor blog often. I got 2k hits recently, something which I never thought I'd see. :D

Halo TDS Game Progress

As mentioned in my previous blogs, I've been working on a Halo TDS game. For some reason, I haven't seen jumping in TDS's at all, and I aim to implement it into my game. I'm having a bit of trouble, but it's starting to resemble the actual halo game now. I completely discarded my old halo progress, as it had lagged far too much for me to even consider releasing it. I've started again from scratch, this time with a whole new system. Jumping "collisions" are a bit hassling, and there isn't any references on the web at all that I can find. I've put in Halo 3 items, such as bubble shield and power drains, as well as a brand new storyline and a playable character story, similar to how Halo 2 ran, with the Arbiter being another playable character story.

New as-of-now untitled project

I've also been working on another game, depicting a universe of Armored Core merged with Xenogears, and various other Mecha-building games. I've also put into consideration merging this game with my Halo game to make a Mecha/Halo game. I've taken bits and pieces from multiple TDS engines and examples, such as HeroofTime55's Fake 3d TDS example, NoodleNog's TDS Ai example, slayer_jojo's TDS engine, some random isometric jumping systems from GMC, and various other sources. All sprites are made by me, with inspiration from many games, such as Armored Core, Full Metal Panic, Templargfx's Battle Armor , and of course a bit of Gundam.

About my life in 64Digits

So, I've gotten 8 friends. Whoopee. And 2000 hits! Yay! I wonder if anyone even cares about my example anymore. I've turned 13 in October, and I don't think I've blogged since before that anyways. I've quite a bit younger than the majority of the 64Digits community. Most people don't know me, and the few that do have long since been inactive. I'm not a newbie, and I'm certainly not a noob. I've been using Game Maker since version 4, and I've been on this community since there were a whole bunch of staff, most of which aren't anymore. Did they forfeit their mod-ship or something? Anyways, I'm user 2235, which is quite a bit lower that what you would normally call a newbie to the community. I'm generally not a large contributor, but I'm constantly active and I check out most games and examples. I've been at 64Digits since before the relatively huge flow of newbies from the GMC came here, and a few months before HoverTank3D came out. Beginning of the summer of '06, I think. It's been a while.

Poll-ish thingy

So what do you think? Should I combine my two games? If not, then I'll probably just drop the halo game all together, as I've been having over loads of TDS jumping problems. A poll/collection of random questions :

1) Should I combine my two games?

2) Should I keep the TDS Jumping?

3) Have you ever seen any TDS games with jumping? If so, state which >.>

4) Should I release the incomplete discontinues version of Halo: The Betrayers?

5) Mountain Dew, Pepsi, or Coca-Cola? XD

6) Do any of you do Papercrafts or Origami?

7) What happened to GearGOD? I never got the whole story behind his disappearance. Apparently he got banned, unbanned, became a mod, then got banned again. His epic thread is pretty cool though. XD

Hopefully this blog marks the beginning of my desire to blog some more, perhaps even regularly. I don't get comments frequently anyways, though. Maybe that'll change once I blog more.

1) Yes.

2) Yes, if it adds to the game.

3) I tried to do it once.

4) If you want to.

5) Coke.

6) I used to do Origami. A bit. Wasn't that good.

7) GearGOD hacked 64Digits, released a screenshot of V3, and caused Arcalyth and flashback to leave.
