Stickworld RETURNS?!

Hello, 64Digits community.

I looked on my page, and I guess the last time I posted an entry was last year at around this time. That's a little bit upsetting… Either way, I'm back now and I'm making games again.

A while ago when I made the WIP game "Stickworld", my laptop crashed and erased all my memory. I was extremely upset and was forced to stop working on the game. (The same thing happened with my game "Anonymous").

Another user on this site (I can't recall exactly who it was) told me I should start Stickworld over and try to make it better. This was a novel idea considering the fact that I enjoyed working on the game and it seemed to be enjoyable amongst some other users.

So I was off. I began to work on Stickworld again. I have named it "Stickworld Redemption". It has the same plot as the first version, but much smoother gameplay, graphics, and mode of fighting. (It's now a platform shooter instead of just a platform game.) I viewed the older version of the game via 64Digits and tried to make specific parts of it more fun.

Shortly after posting this blog entry I plan to upload the first demo of Stickworld Redemption. I've also taken 3 screenshots for your viewing if you're into that sort of thing.

EDIT: whoops… Just read on the front page that games aren't being uploaded properly… Well that's no fun. I guess it'll be uploaded as soon as the site is fixed.

I'm not sure if this had anything to do with your game, but while I was fighting the big bee boss thing, my keyboard and mouse just stopped working. I tried unplugging them and plugging them back in but that didn't work either. Strange.

When I was trying to destroy the hives, I died without killing any of them and got the message that shows when you destroy them all. But I had to do it again.

From what I saw, not bad, keep it up!

I guess you forgot me. But that's alright, I haven't forgotten me. Yet

Serpex-I looked back to previous blogs and saw that it was you. Don't worry. I haven't forgotten you! haha

Nathan- Thanks! I'm aware of the hives error where the message shows up saying you destroyed them all. Just a question about gml… are all objects destroyed when a room restarts? I believe that may be the problem.

My eyes hurt from your horrible font and GIF picture.

Iluvfuz-I changed it. The font is now black. I understand. It was starting to hurt my eyes a little bit as well.

I believe when a room is restarted all objects within the room (as long as they arn't being effected by global variables or something) should go back to how they were the first time the room started. If you are controlling the box message with a global variable make sure you set it back to 0 or whatever before calling room_restart()

Thanks for the advice, Nathan.
