Why do good idea's always fail....

Here i was thinking about all the coolness that was my idea to include crouching in my TDS, i mean it makes it a lot more tactical and realistic not to mention fun…. then <b>bamm</b> it hit me…. how the hell am i going to <b>effectively</b> do the bullet collisions. I had previously used a nice little script i had generated which found the first collision along the bullets path and acted accordingly, but now if it collides with 1st a box (ie something you can crouch behind) then a standing player it will count the box as the first hit and disregard the player even thou the player should be damaged….. aargh.

But dont worry i wont give up (come to think about it i might have thought of a solution while im writing this…XD) i need all the features i can muster in the overcrowded(?) TDS genre.

Anyway in other news, my dad got up me this morning for failing a class…. wanna guess what class that was? its called role-call…. pffff just because i regard it as useless and dont go. And im easily averaging over 90% in four of my other classes (namely Physics, Maths Advanced, Maths Extended, Chemistry), well i guess i will never live up to his standard.

Well, "great" ideas can fail because you just can't practically execute them. I could have a great idea for an epic action adventure game, but I'm not going to pull it off easily without devoting a lot of time and not giving up, which is hard for some people.

Yea thats whats likely to happen… its not really a class, its just a 30min thang once a week where they read the news. Anyway i think ive fixed my bullet collisions, but it took me awhile.

Glad you fixed the collisions, but I'm gonna have to agree with DS. You could get a crappy GPA because of that one F, and that could mean the difference between college and no college!

Ummm this class will have no effect what so ever on my grade or University (aka college) entrance. I could explain the whole Australian, ACT school system but you should just take my word for it. I'm very good as far as my academic record goes, i've missed about 2 classes (real classes)in the last 2 years and im easily going to get the UAI(Universities Admission Index) i need to do mechatronic engineering and physics at the ANU (ranked no.4 in the world). The only reason my dad got up me was from principal, 'you shouldnt fail a class, even if the class will have not affect at all', he just one of those old school idealists. But i'll go anyway, just to keep him happy.

Yeah, don't give your dad a headache. Isn't he paying for you? Think about all money wasted. :)
