Ever

I don't like posting if I have no new content to show, and lately, it's just been me blabbing on about life and material objects I've magically obtained due to how many dead faces I've come across.

And really, I'd like to stay away from that, so instead of posting a blog every couple of weeks about random stuff, I've decided to just not post any blog at all unless I have an amount of work to show that I feel is sizable enough.

Since the beginning of 2013, I've been in a long and drawn out art block, albeit a mild one, but a block nonetheless. I've been out of ideas, and I did this to myself during the end weeks of December 2012. But I've been trying to pull through it.

But yea, since my last blog back in February, I've been doing little else but cruising through school, eating junk food, and playing games. The same thing, day in and day out with a doodle here or there.

So yea, shit sucks, but since I'm blogging now, I must have -something- to show, and indeed I do.

Enjoy. I struggled to find the imagination to pull any of these off.

I figured I'd get around to showing off some of my graphic design pieces, so I'll make a blog with all of those after this one has died, haha.

I too get these blocks, though they are usually a distinct feeling that I can't do anything, not the lack of imagination. These are some excellent concepts as usual. You have a great art style too, I think you could draw a damn manhole-cover and make it look cool.

And holy god damn; how much money would I have to throw at you to take that American Gothic improvement off your hands?

Maybe you should broaden your media input past your current interests, since they seem to be so limiting.

Your drawings are always nice, I wonder how your robots would look if they were set in a steampunk environment.

@Charlie: Hahaha, thanks. Yea, I've had the same type of block you're talking about as well, and that time I almost didn't draw more than a few doodles the whole year, it was horrible.

Also if I hadn't of given it to my mom (like I do almost all my traditional art) I'd just hand it to you and walk off. I hated doing this painting, really -really- hated it. It was a class assignment, and just… I'm so glad this one is over with.

@FSX: They're my take on astronauts, lol. Tanx.

@Juurian: My interests actually -are- very broad already. I take inspiration from everything I get my hands on, but since sci-fi semi-realism and military things are my true loves, I often try to fit what I took from other areas and mold it into that.

It's not that my current interests are limiting, it's that I feel I'm not sponging enough into my mental library as I used to, and therefore I have very few ideas when I'm like this.

It's like trying to clean a counter with a water spill on it with a rag already full of orange juice.

@Iasper: I have yet to give steampunk a go yet, and it's really been something I've wanted to try. I may do it soon if I can work up the motivation and hold on to inspiration, lol.

Your take on that American Gothic painting somehow brought horrible memories back of this drawing I 'encountered' on Deviantart at 3 AM, the other day.

the artist said he kept seeing it in a recurring nightmare he used to suffer.

It's so awesomely creepy, I kinda want to make a slenderman style game based off it. :P

That looks like my old piano teacher, except with slightly more hands.

It looks like Ru Paul's done with yet another filming session for Drag Race.
