One thing... Leads to another!

Yes, I am listening to "One Thing Leads to Another" by The Fixx.

I'm actually kind of celebrating… After about a month of avoiding my latest web project, a website for a local blues group, I cracked down and got it finished in about 3 days. If you want to check out the fruit of my labor, you can find the site <a href="http://www.sacbluesrevue.com">here</a>.

My dad is in the band, and the guy who runs it put out a bulletin a while ago asking for any help he could get to get their website up… so I answered the call. Not too bad for charity work I don't think, especially since I got a small, custom backend up that lets them control most of the site's functions. I also made a pretty nifty script that builds the photo gallery just by reading files from a directory. Hopefully they like it!

So now I have free time again, to do whatever I please. I'm not particularly sure what I'm gonna be focusing most of my attentin on now, since I have a few different things I'll be working on sporadically throughout the next couple of weeks.

My WIP game, Evolites, should be up on the site soon (you can check it out at my website <a href="http://games.martincrownover.com/evo1.php">here</a>). I am getting really excited about this side-project… it really is turning into something that I like as far as the coding is going, as well as the imagery. It's not too often that you find a GM game that can be relaxing <i>and</i> entertaining, but I think Evolites is on the right track thus far. I'm also taking a fresh approach to this title, and I am trying to incorporate almost every reasonably good suggestion I have had into the game somehow. It's constantly changing, but shouldn't that be the nature of a game about evolution?

I've also got another web project coming up… One of my friends, who I am always chasing entrepreneurial ideas with, is pushing for a Nintendo Wii site that we can run and add info to (PHP Nuke style) as it becomes available. The idea is to either get a good site going that starts to amass revenue via ads and referrals to vendors, or create an internet hot-property so-to-speak, which a much larger company might want to take into their fold. Yeah, it's all just a far-fetched scheme right now, but in the next couple of weeks I'll be tuning and tweaking this site… and hopefully making something promiing out of it. When it's actually up and running, you'll find it at www.Wiisper.com. We'll see how the master plan goes, hehe.

Anyway, this is becoming quite the behemoth of a blog post, so I'll cut it off now. Don't forget to check out my 3 examples that just got accepted into 64D, and be on the lookout for more!

Heh, hopefully Wiisper does good.

Hmm… I'll have to try Evolites… Before other 64D'ers! Muahahaha.
