My GTA moment

Whoa! First of all i'd like to say how good it i see a whole heap of new blogs. I haven't check 64D since sunday night (I've been busy playing the games i got for my birthday) and i had to go back a page to see my last blog…complete opposite of a week ago. Anyway while checking through the blogs i missed i came across one that made me laugh and cringe at the same time, sort of like if you watched your dad drunkily dancing on a table in the middle of a bar. Here's a taste of it…in case you never read it.

____

What ones you wont i to upload frist please send blogs

This is a poll pick one what sound good is just a list

of things i made

1 and old game like one frist game

2 and over head game

____

Heh heh, that was a funny read, and who else would get the first comment than the grammar king PY :P.

Anyway, I'm not spending my entire blog talking about that…even if it was funny.

Right, quickly i also wanted to tell you what games i got for my birthday, i originally outlined four that i wanted, my mom said she was only going to get me two, i picked okami (Wii-awesome game buy it now) and GTA IV (also pretty awesome). So when it came to my birthday i expected two game shaped presents but…there were three. You see my aunt had already bought me the two D.V.D's i wanted so my mom had extra money to spend and therefore i also got tomb raider : anniversary…which was a nice surprise.

So…i finally played a GTA game for the first time, i've never previously owned a console that has had a GTA game on, but now i have so i took the plunge into the murky water. What i found was a very well designed and a very fun game to play. Having only tried true crime before this, my hopes weren't that high but it far surpassed my expectations. The amount of detail that rockstar has gone into is is incredible. My first experience of the game was accidentally running into the back of a pretty drab looking black car. I expected nothing to come of it, that was until i saw the driver of the black car get out and run toward my car. Not knowing what would i happen i happily sat there and watched only to find the man open the door of my car and drag me out onto the street. I got up and stood there as this strange man held up his fists and starting hitting me, bear in mind that i'd only just started playing and i didn't know all the controls, so i stood there getting attacked when this other guy came over and started attacking the guy that was hitting me, which i was relieved about well that is until the guy from the black car pulled out a gun and starting shooting at my saviour who then also pulled a gun. the two men started shooting each other and this gave me the chance to escape. i ran across the road and down a little side street. I came out onto another main road where i saw an ambulance fly past me toward the place where the fight had broke out.

This little incident had no bearing on the story or missions within the game however it just showed how much work rockstar had put into making this game, and it's something as i, a dedicated gamer, can really appreciate.

So, the moral of the story is, if you've ever thought about trying a game because you like the sound of it, then go do it, you may find a true classic that you will remember and appreciate forever.

Sorry i didn't have more to talk about but i've pretty much only been playing my new games since monday morning. I'll slow down now though…gotta eat sometime right?…Over and out.

@PY unless you're a toilet, then it's pretty much useless.

GTA4 got boring for me. Keep playing the game non-stop for 4 weeks and after you've beatened everything, there's really nothing left to do. But online is always a blast!

GTAs stopped being fun after Vice City, when Rockstar had decided that you need to collect 100% of hidden (whatever) for any bonus.

I'm still waiting for Rockstar to port it to PC…

^Me too. They have no respect for the platform on which their SERIES WAS BORN! Which reminds me, according to a sometimes reliable source, Portal 2 is a 360 exclusive. Which means we'll have to wait for that too.

HEAR ME NOW, VILE MICROSOFT. IF YOU THINK YOUR EVIL PLAN TO FORCE ME TO BUY A 360 WILL SUCCEED, THINK AGAIN. I HAVE VOWED *NEVER* TO TOUCH ONE OF THOSE SILLY TOYS WITH THEIR HIDEOUS CONTROLLERS AND DISGUSTING MAINSTREAM FRIENDLINESS. YOU SHALL NOT SUCCEED, FOR F1AK3R'S LAW ALWAYS HOLDS TRUE.

[quote=F1ak3r's Law]If a game is worth being played, it's either on the PC, will come to the PC, or able to be emulated for the PC.

Sorry for the capitals. I was shouting.

By the sounds of it, GTA IV isn't the best in the series…lucky it's the only one I've played so i can't tell how inferior it is.

PC = inferior to consoles…IMO.
