Jabberwock Sings!

So I have been making music lately. This is where you can listen to my music:

I was also involved in the making of some other music, with my brothers. They did most of the songwriting, but that's okay. They're good at it. I ended up playing a lot of synths and laptop.

Also, these are a couple of old songs I never posted here. From last summer:

Nice songs dude, what program do you use to mix/record?

I use a cheap-as-free version of Cubase. Came with my hardware. And then for drum loops and suchlike I use a tracker. And for some random editing purposes I use an old version CoolEdit Pro.

Thanks for listening, glad you like it.

Yes. Except I've never heard of Tangerine Dream.

Another yes, of course. The most recent (good) movie I saw was Trainspotting.

Oh. If you're much into ambient, you might give Tangerine Dream a try. They're a German electronic band, one of the first. I like them, their stuff from the mid-to-late-70s anyway. It reminds me of soundtracks from old sci-fi movies, like Alien. Phaedra is a good album, they've got a couple others that I like too. I mean, obviously there's not that much going on… it's vaguely spacey, futuristic music with very long tracks. But I find it to be very atmospheric.

So you like Aphex Twin, then? He's a recent find for me, I'm sort of just getting into electronica. I like Drukqs a whole lot; actually, I like most of his music except for some of the really technoish sort of stuff like on I Care Because You Do, and then his commercial singles, which are more disturbing than enjoyable.

I also got Ultravisitor, by Squarepusher, which is a cool album even if it veers into near-unlistenability in the middle.
