You guys remember the skylands, from way back in beta 1.7? Well, thanks to 24 hours of intense haxxor coding by JeremyDF93, I now have an awesome new skylands map on my server =D So I was thinking, why not have a "survival marathon" type event in the skylands world this weekend?

Theres just one decision to make, the gameplay style. Choices are: Hard survival, normal survival, survival with kits or creative without flying. Personally my favorite choices are the 2 middle choices, but its up to whoever wants to come. The marathon will last for at least 1 week, whenever people get bored of the map and quit playing we'll switch it to creative mode so people can fly around and see what we've built. The main point is to force us to build real bridges and stuff, instead of just flying around doing whatever.

Also, unlike the old skylands this map is a real map with larger islands, biomes, caves, all ores, dungeons, lakes and all the mobs from the normal world.

When: You can start building later this afternoon, but the marathon officially starts friday afternoon and thats when we will start work on a city.

How: Join the server and do /realm skylands, if you haven't visited before you might need to be whitelisted before you can build.

So yeah, if you think you might come then comment which of the 4 modes you would prefer.
