Me and my school friend 'Zax' have decided that we should make a joint game so im postponing my other project for a while, anyway this new game is going to be a scrolling shooter with lots of effects.
When it is finished it should be quite good, unfortunatly i am doing it on my own for the moment whilst Zax makes his Christmas game. So far i have made the movement bit, the shooting bit and one enemy. Im gonna leave most of the grphics to Zax.In other news, im trying to get into taking and editing digital imagery but at the moment i have to use my dads camera, its pretty good (10mp), but i would really like to have my own camera to use instead of my dads. So i wanted to know if anyone knew of a good value camera for £100-160?Also, I have noticed that on this site everyone is paranoid about spelling and punctuation. Alot of people have been getting moaned at (me not being one of them) for not putting a capital 'I'. I wanted to know if this was just because of people being perfectionists or because of some monumentally big spelling error that struck fear into the hearts of men, and shook the foundations of the universe so hard that it became close to collapsing and destroying the lives of all the living things making their home in it.Thanks for anyone who can answer my questions, Kronos.

A user who uses terrible grammar, punctuation, or grammar is looked at like… a dumbass?(I am not calling you a dumbass)
It just pisses us off when people completely corrupt the english language. The shift key is not that hard to get to. =Pthats true
I do try to take care with spelling and stuff when in forums and stuff like this, but not so much as when in a chatroom.
Don't know if you care about it, but some GM stuff when you go "nuts" with the special effects (as yummy as it is) can slow down some older computers. If you use yummy exposions and stuff, I hope the other grahics match it a bit. So is there any more to the description to compare it to? Side scroller, top down… Gradius style, more old skool just kill everthing…etc?
And remember: LOTS of graphical effects doesn't mean it's pretty.
