Help Me! (Not FP'd)

Posted by MrNitro on Aug. 3, 2007, 7:44 a.m.

I have been working on my two games for a while now, but I keep running into the same problem… ugly sprites! Okay, I have a few decent ones but I need some help. Most sprites I make go just fine and look good, but some have these ugly, rough outlines!!! I use MS Paint and there isn't much I can do about this. (That I know of.) But if you have seen Flash graphics, which most of you probably have, ALL and I mean ALL edges are smoothed out and look great! With Paint… not so!

Before I continue any game making I want to know if I can make better looking sprites. Does anyone in this world know of a solution? Some kind of tecnique or program? Please help!

As long as you use pixel interpolation you can't see the pixels.

Hmmm. Well, flash animations aren't small pixel-by-pixel drawings, making them like that. And as for spriting, my only good suggestion would be that you have to stick with your current style of sprou can make those shinyiting until you improve to where y looking sprites you're asking about, so yeah.
