I stopped using my desk when I got my laptop, I use my laptop in my bed, leave it upside down on my bed when im not using it (vents on the bottom) and leave it on the floor or on a stand next to my bed when i'm asleep.
The problem with my desk is that theres no good place to put my laptop and have the screen tilted back far enough, plus my bed is better than a chair =p
