Hello... again?

Posted by Notalot on March 1, 2008, 6:15 p.m.

To start things off, I am NAL. I just dug up my old account and like looking like I've been around longer, 'cos, well, I have.

Although I've not blogged yet. Oh well, there's a first time for everything, even if it's the second first time ^_^'

Well, for starters, and a positive one, the file manager works on this account, so I can submit a few of my games to the website at last. I can also have a nice decorate - edit my avatar, and that bar thingy at the top of my profile page. Ha - no more Sixty Four Digits greyscale explosion thingy.

I've got into 3D now. My first proper 3D game is my entry for Vicious Turtle Games', which meant I could only use black, white and pink. A fair restriction - my minigame entry was so damn simple it didn't need anything else. I'm now working on two other 3D games to get to grips with 3D - one collaborative project with someone that's better at 3D than me, and one own project that I'm contemplating entering into the YYG Ancient Civilisation Competition if I finish it. Don't know though.

The host I use for my website, Parahosting, is being a relentless pain in the arse. Pages load slowly, and just yesterday I suffered a forum rollback that wiped out half of its posts. Weirdly though, one user can actually see all the posts. It's as if we're on two different forums - he doesn't see our usernames while he's online and we don't see his. We can also post independently.

My workload for GMTech has increased, but I don't really mind. It's fun writing for the magazine, and it means I can get a lovely advertisement space quicker. I'm also getting praise for my reviews, which I like. I'm a sucker for compliments.

Aaaaaaaand I suppose that's it. Next, I've gotta upload a couple of my better games, then pimp my page.

Laters!
