I'm Origin, a 13 year old programmer, don't mistake me for my age, i've had a rough life for long enough. I live in Australia, been using GM for 2 and abit years, though recently i've given it up for all the flaws it contains. I've moved on in my journey. I now use PureBasic, though for all the community has done for me, i wish to pay it back. I still kindly write script requests and DLLs, you may request them via daziller@gmail.com . I'm not against GM, although i'm not allied with GM, its the users i am allied with. I still appreciate things people do with GM, but i know that behind the scenes somebody is tampering with things illegally.
Anyway, My current journey is a server-software developer, I love using the software, it may not be as good as any others currently around, but its good to my point, which is all i feels counts when i make it.So anyway, this whole 'blog' its pretty much meant to be about DLLs, you want one made? FYI, the DLLs are written in PureBasic, the scripts are written in GML, just to remove any confusion.
It doesn't matter 'what' a 'real programmer' uses, its 'how'.
Rhys Andrews - Conflict Online was quite fantasticly written in GameMaker.And by the way, i must be a real programmer, because i can poke and pinch myself and feel it, just like anyone else.I don't mind who uses what language, Just go the path you want to go. One day i may begin to learn C++, though only the future will let me know, as it does to everyone else.Just a question, pal. I never try make dll business, but can u do something like modifying whole screen? I mean as in for example, grayscale the whole screen in real time, or make the whole screen has other interesting effects like in Half-Life 2 engine? I know this sounds really insane, and I don't know is it possible or not. :P

@EternalOnly DLLs that wrap singular functions of purebasic are. Say i wrapped an Add function, that would be illegal. But say i made a formalure using Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication etc, such as pythagorus's thereom, that would not be illegal.The makers of PureBasic just don't wish for people to be stealing there work and using it in the wrong way.-Origin
