I have a lesson for you all today.

Since the first day I had the internet I was interested with website design. It amazed me how seemingly meaningless words when put together could make a webpage. I started slow by using homestead's wysiwyg drag and drop website editor. Then as I progressed I started copying and pasting other websites source code and removing tags to see what happened.

It wasn't until this past year that I started to think of the possibility of learning PHP and MySQL. I begin learning it but it's taking me a while since I work full time and go to school at night (except tonight I phoned in sick :P). Then one day at work I started to talk to one of the guys about websites. Turns out he needs one for a business and he offers to build me a case for my laptop in exchange for a website (at the time a quote form, a gallery, an about page, and contact page) I thought it would be easy.

Then we got talking about updating the website. He has zip experience in html so I said what you need is a CMS! <kicks his own arse>

Then he got talking about inventory. I say it would be cool to have a webbased inventory so you can check it from anywhere.

Now he wants the form to be e-mailed as well as stored in a DB.

Last week I told him I'd look into filemaker pro(he's a mac guy) and see what it would take to do a db in it.

<Rips out hair>

Then today he tells me. "If you do a good job on my site I know 2 other people who may want sites. Ed (a tow truck/auto garage/ farm owner) and my mom (realator[sp?])."

Like an idiot I keep going. Ya I can do that! Yep! Sure! That should be easy!
