Plus theres going to be at least 2 other new mobs in 1.8, if not more =DThe other 2 I'm talking about are whatever lives in the villages and silverfish. But if this is the scary mob Notch mentioned a long time ago, then I'd say theres at least one other new mob besides those 3.

I don't see what they could do with those blocks besides annoyingly modify the world. Though, they look too creepy to be just annoying…

I like the mo creatures mod, but I don't think that it belongs in vanilla minecraft.
