[1] What Would You Play?

Hey everyone, I am just wondering what type of things would you play? I want to know mainly what you would like to see in a multiplayer game, but any game really. What would you like to be able to do, what items would you like to be able to have, what enemies would you like to be able to fight, what places would you like to be able to go, etc (I also might take this into consideration for single player games as well).

I am wondering because I am thinking of going 3D with Battle Legends Online. I may write the server in something other than Game Maker, such as Visual Basic, for speed reasons and stuff. So yeah, just tell me what would keep YOU hooked on a multiplayer game for a while.

In other news, I am really tired. I just got back from an extremely fun week of camp (kind of a violent week too XD lots of trips to the nurses office by other people and me, but it was all out of fun). We played paintball with wrist rockets, and I got into the Orange Gorillas team, which dominated for 10 rounds strait (only about two people got out in 10 rounds we played with our 5 person team). I actually don't think that the Orange Gorillas lost a single round. I also did some tree racing, kiaking (or however you spell it), rock climbing, and the likes.

Not much else to say, my parents are in Italy for one more week, so I am staying with my grandparents until they get back. Yupness (notice how I like to add "ness" to everything? XD), later dudes.

I think you may actually lose speed in visual basic, unless things have drasticly changed, VB is one of the slowest mainstream coding systems.

And I'd like another sapphire tears esque game, we need more jakex!

In a multiplayer game, I look for many different aspects, including balance and easy communication. I want to be able to talk to everyone, allies, and a single person.

I don't want any randomness in any of the items and whatnot. Possibly for the starting point for an RTS, but nothing else.

I would much rather play with myself.

If I can't talk, no ta.

If I can't have fun, no ta.

Apart from that, though, I don't really mind. Surprise me. (But being able to talk to the other people is necessary)

Multiplayer games where play time has nothing to do with how good a player is (besides skill level through practise, obviously) is a major plus.

Write it the server in Python. VB is too slow.

Write the server in C++. Python is too slow.

On an actual note, if you are writing it for C++ and using 39dll. I created a header to load 39dll.dll in C++ programs. I used it for my Soldat-style game and it worked perfectly.

Cool guys. Is VB really one of the slowest mainstream languages? That is stupid, lol. Evilish, I may get back to you on that if I choose to write it in C++ (it is just that I would have to pick it up, I know very little about it).

So maybe like no requirements for the use of items/armor/weapons? I know that I hate it when I want to get an item in a multiplayer game, and it turns out I can't use it for another 20 or so levels. When you get those levels you feel accomplished (if you can even get those levels without going crazy).

Have all armors be balanced and equipable at the beginning of the game, makes strategic use of armor and weapons
