My S4D Game

I was personally a bit more closed up the last time I competed, but I guess I'll talk about my game a bit. It's 3:14AM here, and I've been more or less in a zombie-mode recently, being all tired and stuff - pun not intended considering this blog post, haha.

I'm basically starting late thanks to birthday/hangovers/work/blah but I hope to have some screenshots up soon. Without further ado, here's what I've got so far:

So, a top down game - giving off the feel of an RTS game, at least in terms of control. Point and clicking for a lot of the movements. Not quite sure what mood this game should have, but not much in the line of "scary" stuff, probably. Or something. I dunno just yet.

You get to use a lot of different weapons, and control a helicopter to destroy enemies and environments to complete various objectives (or avoiding destroying certain things. There's gonna be a few different enemies, with various methods of actually destroying them, requiring weapons, skilled movements and so on and so fourth.

Fairly decent sized levels, and several levels as well, providing plenty of different layouts and unique features to deal with in each level. Plenty of weapons to open various roads of destruction and of course - plenty of Michal Bay explosions to go around! :D

Right now, I'll be getting help from McFluffeh, probably with programming, because of course the idea that I could make even half of a decent game in enough time for this competition was so stupid that even a single celled organism would know it was dumb. Or something. Getting help form other sources would always be fun but it looks like I've missed my chances, so I've just have a bunch of people who want to help but either need cash over having fun (not that I'm complaining about that), or feel they aren't good enough. Or something.
