Yes, in the 80s I fell victim to that classic haircut, the \"mullet\" (although we didn\'t know it by that name).

A Weird FPS

I finished a game for the YoYo Games winter competition. It's an adventure/FPS with some quirky settings, and weird gameplay elements.

Mondo Agency
You are AGENT-65386. Your superiors believe that someone is plotting to kill the president, but they have no idea who or why. And for some reason, the president seems vital to the world's very existance. It's your task to find out who it is that seeks to destroy everyone so that you can save the world from it's pending doom. A task which involves climbing mountains and killing laser indians.

This is the sequel to another game called Mondo Medicals. They are only vaguely related though, and this one is more of a very weird adventure game with some puzzle and FPS elements, though. Mainly inspired by David Lynch and other interesting entertainers.

Controls WASD + Mouse
+ and - to adjust mouse sensitivity

Mirror Download: (7.5 megs)

For those who played Mondo Medicals: This game is a lot easier and very different from it's younger sibling. Takes a while to beat, though, but mostly because of cutscenes.

NOTE: The mountain level is skippable, just walk to the most distant pillar and read the message. Only do this if you find the level unbeatable, though.

Horror games for Halloween?

I'm making a horror game to celebrate Halloween. I think it'd be cool if others would do so too. There seem to be very few GM games with horror themes in general. I like the horror genre, since everything supernatural that doesn't involve spaceships and lasers seem to be classified as horror. It's a category that lets you be very creative.

Here's a screenshot from my WIP. I won't say what it'll be about. But you can be sure that it'll be scary.

I'll release it on the 31st of October, I guess. Hope to see a few more horror games around that time :)

3D in GM can be hot

I've been experimenting with the D3D functions in GM a bit in the past, and decided to see if you can make something that looks decently modern and slick with the basic drawing functions.

I decided to make the game look stylish by adding some very potent light sources and a neat film effect and colours that are rather pale, to get a feeling that you're watching one of those old movies with crazy sci-fi setting with tiny modelships and cut in special effects.

Here's what I got:

The game is actually finished already, but I can't release it yet. I promised the people who have pre-ordered my game Akuchizoku to get the game two weeks in advance. So there'll be a while before I release it.

You can always donate a buck or two if you want it now, together with the full version of afformentioned game. Just visit my site and click a donate button.
