There's some great looking stuff in this compo so far, I'm really looking forward to playing. And I feel even more behind when I look through all the other blogs :P
I found some time to do some more work this evening, so just another short little update. I've added a basic level, movement, a mini-map, and animations for looking into the heads of the little guys. A preview of the movement:
- At least two different colors of opponents + the color mechanic
- A timer when solving a 'head'
- At least one simple level
- Quick and dirty controls for playing on a tablet
- Simple sounds
- … there's no way I'll make it
- Fully random levels
- Figure out how to actually win/lose the game… this seems important
- Mini-map only showing explored areas
- Lots of little animations and better models
- Powerups, keys and weird collectibles
- Some sort of points system
- Boss battles!
- Music and proper sound
Does the minimap have to be explored first or can you see the whole thing when the room/game starts?
