64dc my games options?

You only get to see the OP menu when you boot up the game, so that you can decide how you want to experience it, also for those of you with less powerful computers, you can have all the pretty effects taken off to increase performance. (I've also done my best to optimize the game otherwise)

Wondering about that language option? Well it's real, there is an actual Japanese translation ready, because this game does not have much text

Hey it works!

I can help you with three more translations after the competition if you want me to :)

no 60 fps? that's weird. also no v-sync? other than that, it's looking pretty good. although the options menu is a bit bare if you ask me. game looks sweet too.

This is made on Game Maker 8.0 what do you expect?

People generally do not push GM8's 3D capabilities this far.

Yeah, I'm messing with a 3D game right now, and I'm lucky to get 10 FPS out of it in the larger rooms.

Also, that sign says: good luck mayfl… it gets cut off. So, I assume based on the partial symbol that the hero's name is Mayfly?

Oh man people are already cracking my easter eggs, I guess that's what happens when you put them there after easter…

Dude, you wrote it in /Matoran/. Of course I'm gonna notice. You're talking to the guy who had it as the windows font for almost a year.

dude i have a full 3D engine that gets about 800-3000 fps (based on room size). don't blame the program if you can't achieve a good FPS, blame your engine :P

the big thing to look out for is too many 3d function calls and texture swaps. which is why i have only 1 function call (a single model of the entire level) and that model uses only one large texture, so it also avoids texture swaps. that's how you get excellent FPS :D
