Whee, Looking Up

It's odd, but apparently negative things have a positive effect on me. And, so-called positive things have a negative effect on me. Blech, I make no sense. I always make no sense. I'm Kafei, what do you expect?

Anywho, it's time for discussion people!

So, about a week ago I downloaded a game on the Virtual Console. It was known as Bravoman. It was about Bravoman. Bravo!

Anywho, the game's about a super hero named Bravoman who has to save the world from a mad scientist who makes sexual gestures with one of his hands. Yeah, the plot is retarded.

Then, you go kill everything that moves. Then, you win the game. Congratz, you win!

DISCUSSION TIME IS OVER!

Now, it's quiet time.

That was dumb.

Anywho, we read a poem in English today:

"Riding the Elevator into the Sky" by Anne Sexton

As the fireman said:

Don't book a room over the fifth floor

in any hotel in New York.

They have ladders that will reach further

but no one will climb them.

As the New York Times said:

The elevator always seeks out

the floor of the fire

and automatically opens

and won't shut.

These are the warnings

that you must forget

if you're climbing out of yourself

If you're going to smash into the sky.

Many times I've gone past

the fifth floor,

cranking upward,

but only once

have I gone all the way up.

Sixtieth floor:

small plants and swans bending

into their grave.

Floor two hundred:

mountains with the patience of a cat,

silence wearing its sneakers.

Floor five hundered:

messages and letters centuries old,

birds to drink,

a kitchen of clouds.

Floor six thousand:

the stars,

skeletons on fire,

their arms singing.

And a key,

a very large key,

that opens something-

some useful door-

somewhere-

up there.

Strangely enough, I knew what it was talking about. Now, my English teacher is going to think I'm emo or something. Add that to the fact that I sleep almost every day in that class, and there's some ground behind that claim. Well, I guess I was partially that a while ago, but ah well. I'm not now, which is good.

Yeah, this is just Kafei thinking. Thinking is bad, as I've learned. Well, pessimistic thinking. I'll post something useful next blog. Something useful… MWAHAHA!

This is the day that Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!

-Kaf

By the way, here's a nice hopeful song for anyone feeling a tad down.

That's a wicked poem. Very… erm… unusual use of language. In a good way, though.

Yes, in a good way. Too bad the author killed herself… She was depressed for a lot of her life because she was trapped at home. It's something to consider while deciphering the poem.

Yeah, that's not shallow.

It displays a level of thinking similar to that of a sock. I say that's pretty good.
