I am greatly into designing websites and just want to create something new from time to time.
I have spent a few days on this design. I first created the design in Adobe Photoshop. This took me a few hours to do. I then went onto coding the design. This part has taken me the longest out of the design as you need to get it looking exactly like it was in Photoshop.I just love this, just pure coding and making images etc. as it is just so interesting. I have created many designs so far, many of which are completely original and use good colour schemes. Not only that, you have to make sure all of the code is valid (if you want it to be anyway) and also make sure that the design is cross browser compatible, which is easy to do.The design I have created is for a blog type website, in which I went for a blue theme. You can see the design by clicking on the link below. I hope you will like the design as I have said earlier, it has taken me ages to design.Blog Design
Wonderful how much a fixed background gives to a design's feel

Why do web pages refuse to stretch?Well it looks like something, but yeah.. still tweaks need to be made.
I'm starting to dislike the generic design of blogs, they all look very similar. I see blog design as website architecture - if all the buildings are the same shape, it doesn't matter how colourful they are, they're still the same boring design. Mix it up! Throw in something new and interesting instead of having the standard banner/post/post/post/… with a menu on the right.
Typography isn't so good, there is a grammatical error in the title, search box doesn't have right padding in IE (so much for cross-browser compatibility), titles are cut off in IE, not XHTML valid (3 errors).
On the subjective side: colour scheme isn't so hot, the heavily contrasting white touching everything is ugly, logo thing looks like a kid playing with the pen tool in Photoshop.I could go on forever.Ya, listen to Juju. We need a blog where the banner (Preferably a circle in shape) is in the middle of a spiral of post titles and subject lines. Spiral arms would be topics, and the topic arms sorted by age. Upon clicking a post, the whole text would be a spiral with one arm of text. Comments would have the post style, where they'd unfold when the cursor goes over them
