To change your banner, first upload one (File Manager), and then go to your Preferences page, and find the banner dropdown. Same with the avatar. And to add favourite users, when you're on someone's blog page, click "Add Favourite User".
I tried adding a lot of people I know, but noone seems to have been added, in fact when I click the link it highlights, but no new page opens or anything. Weird.
Well, its MEANT to change to a - instead of a +, but I was having a similar problem for a while. Its got something to do with the Javascript. You could change/update your browser?
