I put it too you all that nothing can pep you up after/during a crap day at work better than a decent cup of good coffee and some loud metal.
Seeing as this site seems to be a site for game developers and the like i feel kinda out of the proverbial loop. I do consider my self a gamer, not as much as I used to but thats mainly due to being otherwise engaged. I studied a Bachelor of Computer Games at one point through Bond Uni here on the Gold Coast, Australia. But I left cause well I didn't feel I need to be there.I have been browsing peoples blogs to try and a get a feel for stuff that people say and am trying to do the same with my own personal spin, which i am not quite sure what it is at the moment…Reading over this makes me think my thoughts are quite disjointed which is annoying as I like to think of myself as a logical person.Things, gaming related, I am looking forward to is the release of Assassins Creed II on November 20. I have pre-ordered the Black Edition for the 360 and its gonna dominate. I mean twin ninja hidden-blades! Oh and one has a single shot gun on it that shoots a shot with the emblem of the Assassins Guild on it, how sick is that!?!?!?Oh for those that would prob be commenting "What kinda music/metal do you like?" The main bands I listen to are;As I Lay Dying, Demon Hunter and Haste The Day. I have a lotta August Burns Red, some Akissforjersey, Alexisonfire, Underoath and We Came As Romans. Please no flaming my music, I like it and thats all that matters for me. Those "in the know" may realise that all these bands are Christian, that is no coincidence, due to personal beliefs, which I wont force on anyone else, I only listen to Christian music. Any suggestions for new metal, Christian bands will be appreciated.Peace, Love and Cookies

Have you heard anything by Bad Religion? Best Christian band evar.I've heard of, and like, most of those bands. I didn't know any of them were Christian though! :P
I'm a Christian too and I HATE it when people try to force others to believe what they do.why restrict what music you listen to.
So, you listen to metal but only restrict yourself to christian bands? that's like …not the point of metal.
Nice music choice :D
I like all of those bands pretty well. Some of them do a bit too much hardcore screaming for my taste, but that's mainly because I'm no good at screaming and can't belt it out while I'm in my car ;)I like Soilwork as well as those, but they arnt Christian. I think devils wears prada Is Christian(I think?) but they are more new age.
Personally, I don't listen to much metal anymore because there's not much new, if u know what I mean. I'm more into melodic drum and bass and hardcore dnb. But I also make it so…Also, nvr tried metal and coffee actually. D:I can understand why Christian's avoid "anti-religious" or satanic music, but the vast majority of music is secular… I just see alot of reasons why it's hypocritical, t'sall.
Coffee is GOOOOOOOD.
I'm a Christian myself, but there's something about contemporary Christian bands that irks me. It just feels like they're saying "hey listen we're playing cool music now so you must be a Christian because it's cool", and I really don't think that "being a Christian because it's cool" is a good approach to religion.I haven't heard any Christian metal bands, though, only rock, so yeah. Although I don't listen to all that much metal, bar Dream Theater, Queensrÿche and Metallica.I, as someone so eloquently put it, "restrict" my music to Christian bands out of personal beliefs. Not because I am dicriminatory or like "Satan is stealing our souls through the musics!!!!!!1!1"
@Josea; although metal may have a common ideal its not why I listen to it, its cause its awesome music and it oddly relaxes me.@Alert Games; I shall have to look up Hardcore dnb as I like that facet of metal so I shall give it a try@F1ak3r; I think Christian music is a good ministry per say, but I don't believe that the message they are preaching should be "we are cool and Christian so be a Christian and be cool like us"@the vast majority of you :P I agree that Christians can be very hypocritical and I try my best to understanding and tolerant. for arguments sake; my favourite manager at my old work was a Muslim and my church hosted a mass BBQ for the Muslims that are building a Muslim school, complete with mosque, on the property beside out churches. I did not mean to single out Muslims in this post I just felt it was the easiest way to get my point across cause it seems there is a mass "Holy War" between our two "religions" (I use that term lightly, as Christianity is a faith)Soz for the mass postAll I was saying is, clearly, you don't "restrict" yourself only what Christians have to say, nor do you "restrict" yourself to non-violent videogames… I wasn't flaming, it just doesn't add up and I was trying to understand why you can't enjoy all the wonderful music out there :D
