Some of you may remember me as Courage. Last time I was here or anywhere GM was about 2 years ago.

Now for those of you who don't know me, I'm a 5-6 year veteran of Game Maker who has yet to release a completed game. School and that got in the way but now that I've dealt with most of it I've decided to return to Game Maker.

First: I hate YoyoGames. It's like YouTube for Games. Zero to Hero in as fast as you can click Upload.

Since Game Maker I have gone onto learning XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and SQL and am looking to expand on that knowledge. GML helped me so much with PHP, because the syntax is very similar.

So I set myself a goal of producing a game in the next few weeks I am here. That's if the World Cup just on the otherside of the city doesn't distract me (I live in South Africa :P). Well besides wasting good money on a few stadiums (in a country with ~30% unemployment) it did mean we got an undersea cable and now rather than have a 3gb upload/download per month cap we are now uncapped (though heavily shaped and still raped cost wise).
