Posted by APlusHost on Sept. 22, 2006, 3:13 p.m.

Well this is yet another blog about the server not me.

Well there has been recently some High load caused by these images, and Upgrading Apache and PHP will help with amount of Views.

The will cause 64digits to be down for a while, so i just wanted to make sure that people were ok with this, if i get people saying go for it then i will upgrade in the next 30 mins.

Thanks in Advance.

…There IS no 100% uptime, and Canadonian hasn't payed for the 100% uptime anyways, if there is such a thing.

Whatever.

Yes as Chiken stated i offered it but the offer was not took up, at this time the 100% uptime would work as while i upgrade apache on server 1 it would use server 2. However the offer was not took up.

Meh, go for it, I don't think it'll last hours just to upgrade apache.

No the downtime should be upto 5 minutes, just running backup at the moment.

Yeah, go ahead

5 minutes? Nobody would notice, not even the admins.

Alrighty, no problem.

Also, if the images aren't healthy for the site (I don't see much wrong with them… But I think if I removed the one from the front page it would help), then just let me know.

Well its not the matter of the images loading its the PHP Code that is run every time the image is viewed to create it, like many people have said it would be better for the Online User image to run every 15 minutes, which is why most forums Online area updated every 15 minutes.

Well, I'm going to remove it from the front page, because that's certainly a major issue, because it gets viewed so much.
