Hello, I am new to this site, but have been aspiring to make a game for years now.
Every attempt at creating is thwarted by ridiculous amounts of code that make my eyes bleed by even looking at the screen.Does anyone out there know of a good Adventure Creator that's easy to use?More specifically, to create a Zelda Like clone?
You know what, screw it.
You say I'm a troll, how about you learn the basics of something before you come in asking stupid questions, huh?You want to make games, GREAT, it's fun, do it!But you don't want to put any effort in, I can prove this by the fact that anybody with an IQ over 6 can understand complex GML, never mind fucking simplicity, you're not even trying.SO do try, you'll find it fun, I can tell you're not an idiot, though by calling me a troll I can tell you have a bad sense of character, but I'll let that slide. Learn to program if you want to make games. There's no other way, there's nothing that'll take 'designs' and turn them into games, except programming. GML is the simplest language out there, designed so that the average idiot over at the GMC can get it. Meaning you can get it. So don't come into a community and ask for stupid things, then flame it's members for being sarcastic (And we're a community, why'd you leave your e-mail?), because we know what's best for you :)(BTW, F1 brings up the rather nice help manual, read it.)@FB, I'm sure you can fix that, by transferring your powers to me.Wow, PY's being a little harsh there but in the end he's right. Unless you can get a friend who understands GML who can help you create games, then you're going to have to learn it yourself. Even downloading an "engine" wouldn't help you in the grand scheme of things, 'cause you need to know at least a little bit of GML to understand what's going on inside the engine. Just try and make games using D&D. It's extremely versatile and can be used to create very simple games, then use that to build up a knowledge of GML and on day you too could understand the ways of the Game maker language.
Hmm, I'm sorry I came off like a prick. However, my defenses shot up with all the sarcasm and what not.
I never said anything about not trying. I have tried very hard to learn C# and the like, it just doesn't stick. As for Game Maker, I just had my first go at it yesterday and it was real fun.Again sorry for coming in and sounding like a "retard".@PY 8 Don_Hertzfeldt.@ Flashback, I'm not a mod. Lol. But this is my blog right? And am I not entitled to defend myself in the least? Just let all the people in this community rip me a new one? Ok, I guess I'll just sit here and take it.
