A Few Credence Filter Things.

Happy 2013 to all.

Here's all I've gotten done recently:

I added some snow effects to Credence Filter, and enemies actually have animations and human emotions and you can kill them.

I made a title image, but I'm not sure if I'm going to stick with it since it's kind of annoying.

I also made some concept art, because I wanted to dick around and make low-resolution concept art.

Finally I made this weird song that you probably won't listen to.

As for Christmassy things, I got a whole bunch of games on Steam:

-Little Inferno (Beat it :D)

-Don't Starve (It's awesome albeit really difficult.)

-Intrusion 2 (I got stuck on the last boss but this game is really impressive and fun.)

-Krater (Haven't played much because I'm going to wait until I get a better graphics card, I liked what little bit I played though.)

-E.Y.E. (This game's pretty shit, but it was only $2.50)

-Mirror's Edge (Haven't installed yet.)

-And all the Penumbra Games.

I also got a book, John Dies at the End. The book is unbelievably incredible, I've read the entire thing and I plan on buying the sequel soon.

In my naivete I spent $10 to rent the film adaptation on iTunes for 24 hours. Expensive, and totally not worth it, I know, but I was really excited to see how they did making it a movie.

That was the most disappointing hour and a half of my life.

Long story short, not only was this a terrible adaptation of the book, but it entirely butchered the plot and all the interesting ideas inside and turned it into what I can only explain as honestly the worst film I've ever seen in my entire life.

So please, read John Dies at the End.

And never ever watch the movie ever never never ever nope never don't do it.

HAPPY NEW BEARDS PILGRIMS.

Wow, thanks for that. I was this close to seeing the movie - not knowing there was a book.

I can make out the words frank and :squint:…. "Pewdiepie" (in your title image)?

The book is by a writer at Cracked.

The movie is by the guy who made Bubba Ho-Tep.

There's a clear distinction of quality, here.

This image is a capture of the objects that make up the title in-game. The words have a 66% chance of being distorted, and the word is chosen at random from a list of 20 plot-relevant names, places, and nouns.

By some wizardry, when I recorded this image, the only words that appeared unobfuscated were two 'frank's.

I love Don't Starve. Made it up to day 22 and died, like twice, lol.

for all the times there are good adaptations.. i always hate to see when a good idea falls into the hands of mediocre producers, and doesn't translate to movies or shows as well as they could.

your logo is good but makes my eyes twitch a little haha. maybe make it still mostly, and every now and then it plays that animation like a pulse. though it's kind of an obvious scribble now that i look at it…

characters look awesome as always. and great song, what are you using for the strings and piano? the soundfonts that blackhole posted on here? actually could use a better piano sound maybe, unless that's just mp3 compression. you definitely pull off that eerie vibe magnificently. makes me want to throw my old songs away :P

edit: and then Procrastination kicked on and i thought a youtube ad was about to sell me something. lololol

I've made it to 12 before I made the mistake of attempting to camp out in a swamp for the night.

So many spiders.

I probably should have specified; the characters are male and female tribals. They are like a sub-race of humans that have lived beneath the surface in caves for three thousand years, eating fungus and stuff. Also that thing on the right is a mothman. They ride them.

The samples are generic samples from Reason 5. The piano is called 'music 4 airports' or something like that, I'm not convinced its a conventional piano. I should look into using those samples blackhole posted. And thanks, I'm trying to get closer to a certain mood, I should make a bunch of practice songs.

EDIT: Scribbles, yeah. There are three fonts in the game, one is 16x16 scribble letters, another is 8x8 scribble letters and the last one is finelyscribbled fancyletters. I like the look, and for the effort it's more than worth it.

Wow, that title is only slightly annoying.

I don't think the rainbow-ness fits in with the rest of the game, does it? Try fading it between black, brown, gray, and then brown again :V

I've been meaning to watch John Dies at the End. I'm just going to go ahead and assume it's actually pretty cool and this is all a part of an elaborate conspiracy to keep from me some marginally higher seratonin and endorphine and whatever the other one's called levels, thus increasing the quite unlikely chance that the panic attacks I keep having are actually heart attacks I'm only narrowly avoiding. Why would anyone want to do this? I don't know, but there's one thing I do know: they either have access to time travel or they don't and this is really the matrix. We are all going to die.

I like your comment, but don't watch it.

Read the book, dammit.

You don't bite the hand that… does graphics… for your game.
