Play

Starting work on a new game. None of the cool mechanics are in place yet, but the basic movement and graphical style are done.

Something that occurred to me while making this is that, since the world is made up of different sized rectangles (aka brushes), Valve's Hammer level editor would actually be a great tool for making levels in this. I may end up jerry-rigging my own compile tools to it and seeing what happens, which I'm pretty excited for!

I *thought* that had a Hexels vibe. I like what you've got so far, but I really kind of hate jumping in isometric stuff, because oftentimes it's virtually impossible to tell how far apart things are from certain angles. Maybe a rotatable camera would help?

Don't worry, it won't be a jumping-based game. This little demo is probably about as hard as the platforming will ever get.

And here I thought I was the only one into Hexels.
