I am Now a Hipster

So my laptop got here today! I guess I'm a Macbook-toting hipster now. I gotta find a nearby coffee shop to haunt ;_;

anyhow, images!

Fresh out of its wrapping!

And setting up!

And logged in!

Setting it up took like… 5 minutes. Much shorter than the bullshit I had to wade through to get my last laptop running. And it runs wicked fast - many times faster than my friend's macbook that I'd been using. I am most pleased with this laptop.

So here's what I'm putting on it tonight (or already have):

*Adium (Multi-IM client)

*Fugu (SFTP)

*Wine (So I can use windows stuff)

*MacFUSE/NTFS-3g (So I can write to NTFS partitions)

*Firefox 5

*Transmission (Bittorrent client)

*TextWrangler (OSX replacement for Notepad++)

*XCode (programming for iPhone, duh)

*Python (cause I love me some python)

*Dropbox

And of course setting up Windows 7, then some Crysis, and then imma shoot some aliens.

Anyone have any suggestions for OSX software?

I'm seriously considering buying one this summer, but I want to wait for my current laptop to die (the damn thing simply refuses to die)

I am being an uberhipster. Right now I am:

Wearing a fedora

Eating couscous

Drinking European soda

Listening to Vivaldi (classical music)

All while playing around with my new macbook :3

Damn, I'm feeling pretentious! I'm going to go out, and then refuse to buy something because its too mainstream.

I'm actually not sadfacing on the macbook part (I'll admit, I do want a mac - more imporantly a MODbook, if it wasn't so damn expensive to buy/have one modded).

I was mainly replying to your comment above me. :D

Also, you want no sad face making…. but you added one. ….Well, it's more angry face rather than sad but yeah.

To be fair, couscous is really delicious, and so is European soda. And fedoras are cool.

Couscous is delicious. It's like the droppings of God's pet rabbit.

And European soda is nice too; San Pellegrino.
