RPG Rewrite!

[NEW - NOV 19]

I'm picking back up with a fresh start on my old RPG Engine, but now with completely new everything.

Most of the graphics are no problem, as well as most the coding, but when it comes to complex artwork and sounds/music…I'm lacking.

The engine as it is now isn't much. There's an inventory, breakable crates, temporary weapon, and simple animation. It's a solid engine and it's only getting bigger and better. I'm just in need of another artist and/or sound effects producer.

No offense, but that looks fucking awesome.

thanks. I loved Almora's gameplay, but I hated the graphics, so I'm trying to create my own rpg using original gameplay ideas, plus it's a million times better looking than almora…but that wasn't hard.

I concur with Ace02.

Almora had awesome graphics. This has even more awesome graphics, going by that one screenshot.

The dude looks a little weird, though, like in most GM TDS'ers. If you take picture of someone directly over their head, you won't only see their shoulders and feet.

Btw, the trees look an awful lot like the ones found here:

The animation effect is out of place because it is aliased, go figure.

But even then, awesome!

I concur with mordi on http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=436735&hl=Fake_3d_Trees

:/

However, it does look pretty awesome.

Those trees are Joseph's, I can advocate that.

Still looks good Joe.

Thanks for the comments-

The trees are my own, from my original release of this engine, back almost a year ago…or more.

Then it started popping up in examples on GMC, such as that one and the one described before it.

I see now the error of my shoulder width, I've just fixed it. Another problem with his looks is he doesn't have any arms yet. I'm really waiting for my animator to get finished (Gordy) to get those in and working.

The new shoulder width makes a lot more sense with the arms though. Thanks for pointing it out.

The things on the ground are Daggers…or at least that's their temporary name. It's what's currently equipped.

I will edit the blog entry after I fix up a couple things, and try to add some arms…
