Sorry if this is written badly, copied it straight from notepad.

Abysmal-

It's very fun and feels like a survival game in an arcade game.

Bugs:

The top levels of the world go invisible, though I can still jump on them.

Questions:

-Performance was good except when the game was loading up.

-Couldn't reach the top, due to the fore mentioned bug.

Maiko fuse-

Hard, very hard, but once your brain adjusts to the speed it's better. I found that I could basically win by spamming jump 'cause that makes you invincible! Maybe make jump make you accelerate slower? Or not at all?

Questions:

Um… hm… difficulty…

*plays again*

Well the very *first* time I played it (a week ago), I rage quit because the thing was way to fast, I could keep on track for more than a few seconds, if that. Maybe make 1 or 2 even easier/slower levels? So people get used to the game and can adjust?

The games fun but the levels get monotonous.

I tried playing hard mode and normal right after each other, and at both times I got to level 11 so maybe make hard even harder? :S

extra:

I have no idea when a my bullets are actually hitting the enemy, maybe visual feedback? Also I never look at the speed bar, there's no time at all in game, however I do seem to register my health bar so maybe convert the speed counter to colours? Also, what the heck are the yellow/orange atoms? I assumed they were score.

Firepoint-

Everybody else has mostly summed up this game quite nicely. Fires look really column..y? maybe make the flames closer together?

Regions-

Not much to say other than mind blowing and fun.

bugs-

Every level after finale 12 doesn't load, I assume it's 'cause you haven't finished them.

Cut-

Not much to say… at all…

Player controls well, but feels a bit… slippery?

Walk-

Very fun, almost any game which has deflect attacks to kill opponents is a win in my books.

Questions:

The follow shield should last longer and I think the placeable shields should look different to the other one maybe. The enemies were interesting, but I was disappointed they only shot once then went full on melee.(between walk and cut, walk seems like it's going to be a funner game)

sorry, what goes invisible?

The discs that you jump on, coins as well I think, buttons to, the only thing that doesn't go invisible is the elevators I believe.

i used my fastest/best songs, and don't have the stamina to write new ones unfortunately. on the part of being monotonous yeah, i've noticed your only real obstacle is *dodge the bullets*. so i think i'm gonna add slight damage for when you linger off-track. for novices that'll end the game much quicker.

i already added sfx and a flashing effect so you know when you hit the enemy, so i got that covered. thanks for being so thorough. :O

the difficulty is what it is, arcade-style on steroids. i plan to make a new game that uses the tunnel slower…. so i think people will be able to adjust to Maiko's speed better then. it's kind of just an insane prequel now. :P

The top 6(?) levels only have the red (elevator-producing) discs. Are you sure you can interact with the "invisible" ones? They shouldn't be there at all.

It's not the top six levels, it's some of the lower levels, and I'm sure they are supposed to be there because every now and again they suddenly reappear.

I was having the same issue:

Only started to occur after I failed once.

Polystyrene Man 10 years, 8 months ago

wow, I have never seen that. so it only happens after you've restarted the game?
