Something Island Warriors

So, second update on my spritesheet game.

So as the title may suggest, I want to call my game "<insert something here> Island Warriors". So far I've come up with:

-Ancient,

-Novo (latin for change, sounds cool but is kinda short)

-Chronovo/s (chronos and novo comined)

-Battle

-And one or two others I can't remember.

The name originally used to be Internet Island battlers, due to the fact that most of the warriors were gonna be made by internet people, but it kinda sounds wierd. Also, I was informed battlers wasn't a word so I used the Word Taizen used, "warriors", Thanks ^^

Long story short: I can't figure out a name for my game and wouldn't mind a bit of input please.

So to game Dev:

So today I decided to add 3 things graphics wise:

So firstly, being hurt or healed now displays a number in the appropriate colour.

Green - healed

Red - hurt

Lime - poison

Orange - fire

Secondly, healthbars have different sizes according to max health. It may be an optical illusion but I think they may be getting exponentially bigger with max hp so I might need to fix that.

Thirdly, creatures who have full health or haven't been attacked in a while fade thier health bar out so the screen isn't cluttered.

Now, slightly less graphics wise:

I've started working on singleplayer (can be co-op) mode. I'm planing to make it a dungeon crawler (hopefully, I don't play many of them, but this seems to be the only genre that would fit the topdown spritesheet mechanic). So what you see up there is a random room generator. There was one digit I forgot to replace which caused me to lose about 1-2 hours, quite annoying but that's what I get for being careless.

And that's all for now, I haven't got much done due to Kerbal space program and spelunky so meh…

Thanks for getting through this blog, hoped you enjoyed it. I'll probably post more about the actually sprite sheet system next time if that's more interesting.

Chrono isn't battle. Its greek/latin for time. It comes from the name of Greek god of time Chronos. However, depending on your games theme and how it looks, Chronovo might sound good.

Yeah, I knew chrono was time, I was going for "Changes over Time" with Chronovos.

Ah, I see. The way you phrased it made it sound like you were going for "Changing Battles" or something to that effect.

It might not hurt to put different titles on multiple lines. It is a little difficult to read.
